The certificate curriculum in welding technology is designed to provide advanced occupational training in automated robotic welding and laser welding. The program provides students with training in safety, setup, programming and operation in robotic and laser systems. These classes are designed to meet both current and future needs in the alternative welding process industry. The certificate program trains students in the fundamentals of robot programming and language. Laser welding includes the development and documentation of procedures and qualification of welds, and the calibration of equipment for welding.
