The Associate in Science in Geology for Transfer (A.S.-T in Geology) prepares students to move into a curriculum at a four-year institution leading to a baccalaureate degree in Geology. Please consult a counselor regarding specific course requirements for your transfer institution. Completion of the Associate in Science in Geology for Transfer (A.S.-T in Geology) degree also provides guaranteed admission with junior status to the CSU system, although does not guarantee admission to a specific campus or major. Upon completion of the Associate in Science in Geology for Transfer (A.S.-T in Geology), students will have a foundation necessary for continued training at the upper division level for geology majors. It is a starting point for students who are preparing for careers in education, geoscience research, and government, where scientific and technical skills are in great demand.
