A minor in Chinese is available for students majoring in other fields. It may be of particular value to students interested in studying languages and literature; the history of East Asia in general and China especially; sociology; political science; or employment with the government, international business firms, or international agencies. A total of 20 units in Chinese is required, of which 8 are in Lower Division and 12 are in Upper Division courses.
