Completion of this program will award the graduate with the Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) and prepare the graduate for a seamless transition to a Bachelor of Science Nursing (BSN) program. Program Admissions
Applications are accepted twice a year. Admissions are offered for in the Fall and Spring semesters. Visit our website for the application filing period dates. The application is available online.
✓ Be at least 18 years of age at time of admission.
✓ Completion of prerequisite courses with a grade of “C” or better. Science courses must have been completed within the last 7 years.

✓ Pass the ATI TEAS with a score of 62% or higher on the first attempt to be eligible to apply.
✓ Apply to GWC and obtain a student ID number.
✓ Complete an online nursing orientation. Upload to the online application, the orientation attestation page.
✓ Be in adequate health to perform the duties of a Registered Nurse. These requirements are detailed in the current college catalog.
✓ Foreign transcripts must be translated by an official agency prior to application to the Nursing Programs. This is required to evaluate equivalency of both high school education and college courses.

Program Requirements
Applicants who are selected must successfully meet the following requirements and are responsible for any costs incurred. Specific information will be provided to the selected applicants once admission is confirmed by the applicant.
✓ Physical Examination, Titers, and Immunizations The results of the required physical examination must indicate appropriate physical and emotional health standards for the program.
✓ Clear background check and urine drug testing.
✓ A current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS CPR card.
✓ “Registered Student Nurse” Malpractice Insurance.
✓ Uniforms and professional supplies/equipment.
✓ Transportation: Adequate, reliable transportation is required.
Students should consult a GWC Nursing counselor to select the best pathway to meet their educational goals. For students who intend to transfer, the choice of general education will be specific to both their major and transfer institution.
