Automobile Mechanic Fundamentals (Course)

This competency-based course provides instruction in the diagnosis and repair of automobile engine systems. This course includes instruction in tools and equipment, safety, engine designs, cooling systems, lubrication systems, basic electricity, ignition systems, fuel systems, exhaust systems, emission control systems, charging systems, starting systems, and major engine operations.
Free for Eligible persons: Unemployed, Veteran, Home Deprived, Single Mothers looking to work, Justice-Involved. Eligible people may receive help not only with training costs; but also with transportation, child care, and tools required for the job. You will need to contact your local AJCC to become eligible.
Prerequisites
Clients who have been screened by referring agencies are eligible for training by meeting the basic requirements outlined for each course and by agreeing to abide by the school’s guidelines for behavior, attendance, and progress. Additionally, each client is expected to understand his or her own responsibility regarding becoming employed.
