Automotive Technician Emissions Control (Course)

This competency-based course is the first in a sequence of two designed to meet the bureau of automotive repair regulations licensing requirements for the inspector license course program. It provides students to technical instruction and practical experience in emissions control of using sustainable and green vehicle technologies. Instruction includes classroom and workplace policies and procedures in accordance with local safety environmental regulations.
The engine and emission control training is intended to provide students with fundamental knowledge of engine and emission control theory, and design and operation. Students who successfully complete this training at the bureau certified school have met this first step of the bureau of automotive repair training requirements for inexperienced or minimally experience candidates for smog check inspector license.
Free for Eligible persons: Unemployed, Veteran, Home Deprived, Single Mothers looking to work, Justice-Involved. Eligible people may receive help not only with training costs; but also with transportation, child care, and tools required for the job. You will need to contact your local AJCC to become eligible.
